The Plague: Feeling of exile
When Plague had struck Oran, the town was closed. People who went out remained out and those that had come in remained in. Their predicament :
'It was undoubtedly the feeling of exile-that sensation of a void within never left us, that irrational longing to hark back to the past or else to speed up the march of time, and those deep shafts of memory that stang like fire'
From The Plague, Albert Camus
